No Rest for the Weary

Yesterday I was sitting in the Doctors office filling out a "Symptom" form.

I had filled out 2 forms in the office area prior to that.

Seriously... I loathe filling out forms.

 It seems like every time I go to the Doctor now-- for me or the kids.. I feel as though I am signing on a loan on my house.

* Too much paperwork *

Anyway.. as  I was filling out the form... I couldn't believe how many symptoms I had at one time.

It was the first time I have answered "YES" to every question except for 2.

The Doctor came in.. asked me a few questions... and after looking inside my ears..and seeing how pathetic I must have looked and sounded -- decided that it didn't matter what my throat looked like.

She asked me.. " Do you want a Z-pac or Augmentin"

Me: Whatever is going to work the best Please.

She then asked me if I needed a note for Work release for a few days... so I could rest.

* UMMM*  I wish.

If only I could use that note.

I craved some good rest. ( My bed.)

I was watching the clock because I had to drive carpool in 15 minutes.
 Then I needed to help Mary's teacher with Kindergarten testing for 3 hours.
 She was out sick all last week and needed some major help before report cards come out next week.

I needed to pick up things for the Blue and Gold Banquet that we are in charge of tonight.. and run to the bread store.. and now add " Pick up antibiotics" to the every growing list.

As I was leaving.. she said: REALLY...Make SURE to get plenty liquids and rest.

I politely smiled.. but thought: If you only knew how busy this week was.

No rest for the Weary.

ON the plus side:

No Organizing classes until March 5th.  -- Hopefully my voice is back then!

Today I am Grateful for:

50 degrees in the forecast for the weekend.  I CAN'T WAIT.

Chad's help -- enduring multiple sicknesses.

Being able to breathe through your nose.  Seriously.. don't take that for granted.

Being able to taste food.  Seriously.. don't take that for granted.

Mucinex, Kleenex, Hot baths, Rice bags, Nasal spray, Honey + Hot water, Antibiotics and my Bed.
I just can't get enough.

We just recently discovered Breath by dutera, (I think that is the brand). It is an essential oil. I put it on Rowan and Duncan last time they started to get colds and they cleared up in about 3 days vs 2-3 weeks. And since Rowan is our asmatic that when ever he gets a cold he ends up with phnumonia I consider it a miracle oil! I just put a little on my finger and touched behind each ear and on the chest. I'm not saying you weren't sick! Sounds bad!! But it may be something to look in to for future. I paid $3.50 for a sample bottle on line. Keep in mind it is tiny, but I can't believe how well it worked. And they haven't been sick since. That it's self is a miracle!

Mothers don't get that luxury very often. but DO TAKE CARE of yourself, or you won't be good for anyone. Never neglect yourself sweet Ann.

I totally know what you mean about all the paper work. Gosh, I start to feel like I am putting them out at times. When I am paying for their services.

I do hope you get sometime for yourself.

Okay, you TOTALLY should've had someone else make the soup for you tonight! If I would've known, I would've doubled our dinner and made you eat it. Hope you feel better soon!!!
