The on going Lunch Debate

As Chad and I were driving to lunch yesterday... we had ourselves a little debate.

These happen often... mostly out of stubbornness.. and they are never harmful.. but I just want to share what they are like.. to show how quirky we both are.

Chad LOVES Del Taco.

I don't love it so much.. but I go with him at least once a week.. because it's cheap.. and it was a tradition for him to go with the guys at work for " Taco Tuesday."

I go.. because I love him.. and not for the food.  The end.

We live between 2 Del Taco's.. and Chad prefers to go to one.. and I prefer the other.

I usually win.. because I insist.. but we still playfully argue about it each time we go.

Yesterday.. Chad said " So which one should we go to?"  And I am thinking: DUH! You know!

Chad: I prefer the other one.

Ann: I know.

Chad: It has more space.. and it's closer.

Ann: I promise.. it has the exact same seating space.  And I think we should measure it's distance.. because mine is closer.. and I will win.

Chad: You can get to the one I like faster... even if it's not closer.
What do you have against the one I like??

Ann: a: Your obsessed with that one. You love the street that it sits on.. and you'll do anything to drive down that street. ~ And to be honest....it has a germy-filled stomach flu--kids play land.
Therefore.. my Del Taco is cleaner.. and has less germs.

Chad: ( Laughing and pretending that he is surprised by my comment)
I can't wait to tell Brian that you said that!!!!
( Brian is his good friend at work  )

Ann: Are you seriously surprised at my answer??
Seriously???
You should know me better than anyone.
And why must you need to tell Brian about this?

Chad: ( Still laughing ) ... I am not surprised..
I just can't believe that -- is really the reason.
And Brian is a lot like you are... so...

Ann: So.... he will agree with me.. because it is the truth..
 And we are right.

You really don't know how lucky you are to be married to me.
You are spared more sicknesses than usual because I am such a germaphobe.  I hope you are grateful for me every day.

Chad: ( Laughing out loud )

Ann: Maybe you aren't sick often enough to remind you of how awful it is... maybe you need the stomach flu -- to remind you how much you don't like it.. or want it.  -- Then you'll be thankful for your germaphobe wife that tries to keep her family happy and healthy and prevent sickness when and where I can prevent it.

And Chad drives to my Del Taco.

See... we compromise in our marriage well.  I eat the food that I don't love so much.. and he gives in and drives me to the food establishment that I prefer to eat it in.

I love being married to Chad.

We always have fun.. and  good debates like this.

And when I need to win -- I am not scared to throw the " Remember.. you married " Ann Wright"  and I will always be the "Right" one.   Always. :)

It's a good thing that Chad doesn't get annoyed by that statement.  He thinks I'm cute.

This is another reason we are perfect together.

Today I am Grateful for:

FHE at Mom's last night.

Coming home to gifts left on the porch from neighbors

Singing Christmas songs

Peppermint hot chocolate, candies, and cookies.

My Germaphobia.  I can't escape all germs.. but what I can do.. I do! :)

ha ha...that is pretty funny. Harmless debate, and of course I am glad you remind him how lucky he is to be married to you.
We all need to remind our husbands of that sometimes.
Man...there isn't any Mexican food places around where I live.
I'd settle for a Del Taco.

LOL. You guys are so cute. And Jordan loves Del Taco too, and I'm 98% sure that I always choose the one you go to. :) You're right, the other one feels dirty...

OK.
That's funny.

You have hand sanitizer in your purse don't you?

I'm kinda glad we don't have a Del Taco here. I don't need one more vice.
