Le Finale.
*Warning*
This post does contain spoilers.
If you have any intention and/or desire to see the movie.. read no further.
Seriously.
This is a movie that you do not want to be spoiled.
And you have been warned. :)
Like.. it really matters what my thoughts of it are anyway!? Ha!
*********
Friday... 10 of my girlfriends and I headed to Dinner and the movie.
But before we left.. Heather brought us another one of her yummy creations.
A Darling cake!
Seriously.. her cakes are SO good. They are not just pretty.
She is awesome.. I tell you.
We headed to Olive Garden.. and what FUN it was for me to be with so many people that I love and adore.
Such a happy day..
I felt loved.
After some fun chatting and Dinner.. we headed to the Theatre.
It is so much fun to be in the Theatre on the first opening days of stuff like this.
People are more happy, silly, and are not afraid to hoot and holler at the screen.
I was laughing so hard when Kristen Stewarts name came on the screen and Megan yelled:
" Trampire." Seriously... Megan was a riot through the whole show.
My thoughts about the show.
1- Oh my word.. they finally got it with the make-up.
It took 4 movies.. but they did it!
*slow clap.*
2- There were about 5 young girls ages 8-10 sitting on the row in front of us.. and during the "sensual" scene.. I was uncomfortable. Big time.
It was also uncomfortable later when a ton of Vampires lost there heads.
I EVEN closed my eyes when the mouth was getting stretched apart.
How many head decapitations were there? Seriously.. too many to count.
Parents... Seriously??? I won't even let Tenney read the books until she is 16-18.
*I WISH children under 13 were not allowed in the theatre for PG-13 movies*
3- The worst parts of the movie were the CGI stuff. Baby Renesemee?? Enough said.
To be fair.. when I read the book.. I knew it would look bad.
*Knew it.*
4- The new Vampire Bella? Didn't annoy me once. LOVED her in this movie.
5- Almost cried in the movie when Charlie came over to see Bella.. and when he met Renesemee.
It must be those Daddy/daughter tender moments that I miss.
6- I felt like the show followed the book really well. I admit.. I haven't read Breaking Dawn for a long time.. but it seemed much like I remembered.
* until the battle scene*
7- Speaking of the battle scene.... It was awesome.. and then they cut off Carlile's head.. and I thought I was going to have a heart attack.
Seriously.
Vampires and Wolves are dying.. and I felt almost numb.
All I could think about was that they killed Carlile?
Then.. they killed Jasper.
What in the crap Stephenie Meyer!!
The Battle scene continues.. and I am just in complete shock.
When Esme is hanging on the side of the cliff.. I was almost hoping she would fall in also... so she wouldn't be alone forever.
*ya.. I know the characters are not real.. but for a second.. I forgot*
*ya.. I know the characters are not real.. but for a second.. I forgot*
8- The twist was Epic. As Epic as " The Sixth Sense."
If people tell you they knew.. then they lie.
I was SO happy that there was really no Epic battle.. but if there REALLY was one... Bella and Edward would win. The end.
I will never forget Megan's remark about the twist -- when she yelled out:
what the Eff??
what the Eff??
Ya.. she did.
I tell you.. everyone in the theatre -- that had read the books -- I'm sure almost had a heart attack.
Good job Stephenie Meyer.
9- Is it wrong of me that I found delight in watching Jane run for her life? Probably.
10- I LOVE how they ended the movie. LOVED the flashbacks of Edward and Bella's life together.. and LOVED to see Alice's vision of Jacob and Renesemee ( when she is older.)
11- I thought the movie had everything in it. Action, Drama, Comedy, and was all around.. NICE.
12- Not sure if it's my favorite -- of all of the twilight movies.. but I liked it alot.
*As far as Twilight movies go.*
After the Movie... we gathered back at my house to eat and chat.
And Erin came over after the movie to join in our fun.
Well hello.. pocket Edward! It's been a while.
Marion, Heather, Monica and I
Lindsey and Katie in their Twilight shirts
So lucky to have cousins that also feel like BFF's.
Shauna, Megan, Me, Melanie and Heather
And of course... Erin "gifted" us with some of her wit and talents.
It's a picture of Stephenie Meyer ( the creator and author ) of the Twilight Franchise.
It reads: "Thanks for the Bidnes ( business).. Ho-Bags."
Oh -- my friends and Family are fun.
Today I am Grateful for:
Stephenie Meyer.. for your brilliant books.. and fun franchise.. that we have had so much fun with for many years. You are a great one.
Monica.. for driving so far to be with us. Love you!
All things Peppermint and Mint. Apparently I have an addiction.
Aunt Jeannine. She is a Gift from Heavenly Father to me.
Family and Friends = Some of the greatest treasures

So glad you got to have a girls night. I look forward to seeing the movie. Can't understand the point in taking such young girls to see or even read this book series. I won't even let my 14 or 12 year old read the rest of the books.
Yay for this post! Great recap of the night and movie. I had so much fun. Now we have to have an annual party. Thanks so much Ann for your hospitality and always opening up your beautiful home to us! Love you!
Looks like a blast! So nice to have so many friends. The Cake looked fabulously yummy~Cheers Kim
Man, how fun!!! Can't wait to see the movie I doubt I'll have a cool cake like yours but there's always popcorn!!!
You girls sure know how to do it right!!!
Loved it, especially the second half.
Saw it today!!! Still trying to process it... :)
Now I want to go back and read the books again!
I did love Bella in this movie. Renesmee...bleh.
The fight scene...I was thinking "what the heck~ I don't remember any of this!" Great twist!!!
I read The Host this summer & I am looking forward to the movie. I think I liked it even more than the Twilight books~ :)Crossing my fingers that it's well done!
And YAY...I finally got to read your post!
I loved that they added the "possible" fight scene. I felt like in the book they spent so much time building up to a fight that never happened. It was exactly what the book was lacking and made for a better movie.
I liked it too. I was shocked by the fight scene but then when I saw that it didn't really happen I thought it was a great twist. And yeah, CGI baby Renesmee--awkward! I liked Bella in this one too. I didn't like the sex scene. Come on, we know they have it and that it's good for them, but did they really need to devote another scene to it?
I loved the ending, I thought it was perfect for Twilight fans. I was disappointed that there was no group dance with the cast at the end like I'd heard. It's going to be on the DVDs so that will be fun to look forward to!
I seriously loved going to those parties! We need to find something to replace them! I had so much fun that night!
You wrote a great review! I seriously cannot remember a moving that made me feel so low and then in split second make me so happy that I was laughing so hard I had tears running down my face! Epic! I too loved to see Jane run! Maybe this is a bad side of me but it was so satisfying to me!
Thanks for your kind words about my cakes! I am glad you like them! :)
It was a lot of fun! Thank you for putting it together and organizing it as always. It's strange that this is our last. I guess we all need to get into another series of movies so we can have the excuse to do this again. And yes, Kristen Stewart IS a Trampire! And yes, the epic twist was definitely worth of a "WHAT THE EFF!" xoxo
