What I wanted... I received.
A love note from Chad.. and the ability to breath through the night.
That was bliss.
Even though I have felt lousy... and have been grieving and mourning the loss of Grandpa.. I managed to find some inner strength to make Valentine's Day fun for the family.
♥ The Valentine Man came.. and I am grateful for those friends who helped him.
♥ The family had a candle-lit dinner and we ate Steak, Crab legs, Baked Potatoes and Artichokes.
♥ Mary Caroline said: This is the BEST dinner ever Mom.
♥ The kids all showed me all of their Valentine cards from school.. and ate too much candy.
♥ I gave the kids each a letter ( like I do for Christmas ) telling them how much I love them.. and a small gift for each of them.
♥ It was a happy-busy night.. and all I desired was to get in the hottest bath I could handle.. and go to bed.
Am I easy to please this year or what??
Wanna know something sick?? the Mucinex was almost the same price as a dozen roses.
But totally worth every penny.
Tonight.. Chad and I are taking my Mom to dinner for her Wedding Anniversary.
Can't wait.
Today I am Grateful for:
Rest. My bed.
Sleeping over 12 hours.
Energy to make a fun day for my Family.
Receiving chocolate covered hot lips in the mail from a dear friend
Eating about a dozen Sugar cookies the past 4 days.. and not being able to exercise because of my cold... I stepped on the scale last night -- not wanting to look--and I saw that I have lost 2 pounds.
Mercy.

It is nice to loose weight when you think you gained weight, isn't it.
It seems you Valentine's Day was nice. Both H. and I had to work. H. a late shift. Nothing special happening LOl We did see each other though because I had to come home early for the mechanic who installed my new internet connection.
I hope you will be feeling well soon.
Hugs,
Marianne.
Feel Better!
Have a great night with your mom. She's been on my mind the past few days...give her a hug from me!
Mucinex is so expensive!!! But yep, worth it if it helps ya feel better.
I hope you're feeling better! I was sick last year on Valentine's Day and didn't manage to get nearly as much done as you did! That is such a sweet idea to write a letter to each child. I'm going to have to do that next year!
sorry you aren't feeling well.
Your candlelight dinner sounded lovely !!
We just went to the local pizza joint ....how's that for romance. (tee, hee)
How nice that you are taking your mom out to dinner. I bet she will really appreciate that.
question: what's up with all these "please prove you're not a robot" thingys I'm seeing in order to leave a comment lately. ????
I can hardly ever read the first word.
oh bummer for you but yay for mucinex...i missed it with this never ending cold but didn't think baby needed all that stuff. get better soon.
I am glad you got what you needed!
I am glad someone brought you sugar cookies!
I am glad you went to dinner with your mom for her anniversary. I thought about her a lot that day. I thought I was going to have our baby that day because I had contractions from 6 am until 2 am the next morning. I had a doctor's appointment that day and the put me on monitors and did an ultrasound to be sure the baby was handling the contraction fine. She was and they told me that I was probably in preterm labor and that they would see me soon. But it stopped after I fell asleep so no baby yet.
Ugh, I'm sorry you were sick!
I'm glad you had a wonderful dinner with the family! Those memories will be so special for the kids!
