Some of my Favorite Things....

These are a Few of my Favorite Things Lately...

I do not get paid any money to advertise on my blog.. so these things are truly from me.

If you have not seen  this PBS series.... why on earth not???

Chad and I are addicted... and each week I want to discuss what happened!

Yes.. I am passionate about fake shows.. ha!

After season 2 ends... I want to have a blog discussion about this.

Is anyone else so bugged that Thomas is back in the house?  UGH!!

This is our families new favorite game.  ( Chad especially. )
It's Fast... and LOTS of FUN!

For Christmas.. Mary Caroline's Sunbeam teacher gave her a Book of Mormon with her name engraved on the front.  Even though we have many BOM's... this was a special gift to her.. because it's just for her... and she loved her teacher so much.

Mary carries it around the house and pretends to read it.  It's so cute.

Primary Teachers never know how truly special they really are... and how much influence they truly  have... but they do!

As a family.. we are reading the Book of Mormon together every night -- after Dinner.  It's cute as the kids all take turns reading with us... and after we are finished reading.. we turn the time over to Mary to "read."  She pretends she is reading and tells us the CUTEST stories.
Makes me want to record her.  :)

Even though it is an awful picture of me.. it is a happy picture of Jeff and Jen.  :)

Doesn't Jeff and Jen sound good together?

Jennifer has been hanging out with us a lot lately... and this makes us happy!

We like her a lot.

This may be a happy year for a lot of reasons.... and I have a feeling my Dad has something to do with it all.  --- Knowing my Dad.  We'll see......

Celebrating my Mom's 60th birthday with all of the family at Texas Roadhouse.

Having Cecily here with us!

Cecily is Erin's friend from Australia... and she was touring the USA for 6 months.
During those 6 months.. she stayed in Utah 3 different times for a few weeks at a time.

She learned a lot about large families, the Mormon church, and came on lots of family adventures with us.. and watched us all grieve and mourn over our Father.

She was quickly loved by everyone.. and we were sad to see her go back to Australia last week.

We hope she comes back soon!

Oral B -- Electronic Toothbrushes

I had heard from family and friends how AMAZING these toothbrushes were... but if you know me well... it takes me a long time to "catch up" to where everyone else is as far as Electronic stuff is concerned... plus.. spending $40.00 on a toothbrush.. isn't a top priority.

For Christmas.. Chad's parents gave us these... and we are in LOVE!

Love I say!!!!

My teeth feel like I have been to the dentist -- every night.

LOVE it!

You all know how much time and money I used to spend here... well... even when I am "De-junking" and taking loads to drop off... I usually go in to see if their is anything I "need."

I can proudly proclaim that I have only been in this store 2 times in the New Year... ( and once was pricing bed frames ) -- the other 8 times I have visited DI... I have dropped off and drove on!

This is HUGE! :)

Other Favorites:

Organizing.  I have been teaching classes every week... and it has helped me so much to stay busy.. and teach people something I am so passionate about.  I love when Women call me or approach me after a class and tell me how they have gone to "work" on what they have learned.  Makes me happy.

Counting my Blessings

So many good things are happening right now.. and I am more than grateful.

For all the money spent on the girls rooms.. we saved by selling off their old furniture.
One thing about liking Vintage and Antique stuff.. it doesn't ever go out of style... and I was able to sell all of the pieces for double of what I purchased them for 6 years ago.  YAY!

Today I am Grateful for:

The opportunity I have of being a Mother.
It's the hardest.. yet.. most wonderful, and fulfilling job in the world.
My children were sent to me... to save me... I'm sure.

Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes at Kneaders.  Oy.

Friends and Family that just "stop by" to chat.  I love it.

Faith, Hope and Charity

Service.  True Joy and Happiness comes from it.

I love the DI too but only for dropping off! I don't have an eye for bargains like many others do. OK I just watched Downton Abbey the first time a few nights ago. so far not addicted but. Maybe after I watch the second episode.
Love that she reads the Book of Mormon. Yes, you should record her!

Precious! I've been teaching the Sunbeams until we get a teacher called. I just wish that could be MY calling! I love it!

I Love Downton Abbey too. I just watched the second episode of Season 2 last night. I hated O'Brien at the end of the first season because of the horrible thing she did but I'm liking her more now because of how sorry she is about it and for how she's trying to make amends in her own way. And yes, ugh to Thomas being back in the house and in charge of the servants!
I have an Oral-B electric toothbrush too and they are so worth the expense!

P.S. Primary teacher is my favorite calling in the church! I'm the Primary secretary right now but before that I was a teacher and I miss it!

Love Downton Abbey - as you know! Thomas in the house is awful but at least he is not over the servants or anything concerning the household - he's there for the hospital. My prediction is that his partner in crime will end up helping to get rid of him now that she had some remorse and is being a little nicer! Oh YES we need a discussion group!

We are Farkelers! Ha Ha

MC is so darling! I love and miss those young ages and reading the scriptures - so cute!!
I love being a Primary Teacher!

Those are ALL great favorite things.
I haven't seen that PBS show, but it won several awards at the Golden Globes on Sunday.

we don't have a DI in my area (of course) but in Calgary is a big fun thrift store called Value Village.

I LOVE Downton Abbey, I'm rewatching it right now!
I'm shameless!
I ordered the second season on PBS, it comes out the 7th of February.

It looks like you are all having fun together at your mom's birthday dinner.

You know I love Downton Abbey so let's have a discussion at the end of season two!

I haven't been to the DI this year yet which is a big accomplish for me. :)

Brian has been out of town for the past few weeks and I promised not to watch Season 2 of Downton Abby without him. The first two episodes are on my DVR taunting me. I have hopes that Mr. Bates and Anna get back together, but I heard rumors that their love story is more of a tragedy this season. Don't get me started on Thomas and Mrs. O'Brien. Anytime you want to discuss this amazing show, feel free to track me down. I am hooked!

Also, I adore what you did with the girls room. The little details you created are amazing. Have a wonderful weekend! *hugs*

Downtown Abbey is on Dutch tv but I only have seen some snippets of it. I don't think it is something H. would watch. I don't watch that much tv when he is working. I watch computer LOL.
Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes sounds very yummy!
Have a nice weekend!

Jeff and Jen do sound good together! She looks like a cute girl!

I am glad you got so much out of the girl's furniture! That is awesome!

Good job on the DI thing. I know what you mean about that place. I always find something to buy. My weakness are shelves.
